Barbro Lindquist

My name is Barbro Lindquist, I am originally from Sweden but have been in the UK (Sandbach Cheshire) since 2002. I have been involved with dog sport for around 20 years. I started off in Sweden with my GSD doing what we call the Swedish working trials, including tracking, searching, protection and

obedience. I also belonged to the first search and rescue teamin Sweden.

I moved to Belgium 1989 (work) and took my female GSD with me. I started training for the IPO and did the IPO 1 and Kkl 1 with my female, and had also a litter from her.

I moved to Germany 1993 (work again) and continued withtraining at a club in Hamburg.

In 1994 I got a new dog this time a male dog from my friends n Belgium at' Kennel Santamar' www.santamar.be

I did schutzhund training but never any competition.After a few years in Sweden I went back to Belgium (1997) (work again) I continued with my schutzhund training until 2000; sadly at that time my dog had too been put down.

In 2003 I did my training and qualification in Swedish Dog Massage at Axelson Animal School in Sweden.

In 2004 I bought Videx Riva more known as Busa (named after the world’s fastest motorbike Suzuki Haiyabusa). A year later, 2005 I bought a 15 month old female GSD from Germany, Gini von der Plassenburg. I have been training both dogs during the year and in May 2006 we passed the BH test.

I have travelled a lot between UK and Belgium the last years, doing schutzhund training and also following the German Shepherd Breed shows on the continent.

In November 2006 Gini passed her SCH H1 (88 78 87: 253) in Belgium. I completed her schutzhund exam in Belgium because at that time it was not clear whether UK qualifications would be recognised in Europe. Gina did her breed survey in Belgium in May 2007. She went on to have four male puppies in May 2008 to the male Hagadahls Wallace.

I am now based in the Uk in Carmarthenshire Wales.

Gini von der Plassenburg completed her "lifetime korung" Kkl 1 at aankorung in Belgium, Beveren on the 17th of October.

Also I like to thank everybody who helped me in the club, Brian, Ian, Wes

and the rest. Also the helper Bart Nuyens kringgroup Turnhout and Wim van

Bavel, kringgroup Rijkevorsel and my friends Marc and Marita van Hout in
