Ron White

Ron was one of the four founder members of the Severnside Club in 1991 when the schutzhund sport started in Britain and was Club Chairman until 1996 when he became Vice-Chairman of the British Schutzhund Association (BSA) and subsequently BSA Chairman from 1998 until 2005.

He has been involved in various aspects of German Shepherd Dogs for over thirty five years and has trained three dogs through to Schutzhund 3 including the first female GSD to qualify for a British WUSV Team.

When quarantine restrictions were relaxed in 2000, Ron started breeding the occasional litter of working GSDs under his ‘ARGONNE’ affix, always using top Continental studs and is the only breeder in Britain to have used the top German producers Ahron v Granit Rose and Lasco v Westfalenspross.

His present dogs under training are Argonne Celt SchH 1, a Zidane v Haus Sevens son and Argonne Deena, a young Vito v Waldwinkel daughter. The mother of both of these is Argonne Anya SchH3, an Ahron daughter and top competitor who is now 8 years old and retired from competition.

At the time of writing, Ron is a GSDL Council Member and also serves on the GSDL Working Group Committee.
